Re: Greece........................Sink or Swim?

As the uncertainty within Europe & especially Greece has been quite prominent of late I thought I'd just add the following to this thread.

Europe in a "few" words

Pythagoras' theorem - 24 words.

Lord's Prayer - 66 words.

Archimedes' Principle - 67 words.

10 Commandments - 179 words.

Gettysburg address - 286 words.

US Declaration of Independence - 1,300 words.

US Constitution with all 27 Amendments - 7,818 words.

EU regulations on the sale of cabbage - 26,911 words

It is evident that the EU sought your help in drafting the cabbage rules

Re: Greece........................Sink or Swim?

The French voted for a socialist ... Greeks voted for a government which would not slash and burn at the expense of the average Greek ... How dare they! Don't they know that the sanctity of the Euro (and the new kind, gentle, warm and fuzzy Reich) is much more important than their right, as citizens living in a democracy, to vote however they damn well please. The French economy and way of life, as well as those of the Greeks may suffer; but excuse me for mentioning that things weren't all that great for them the last time Germany tried to take over Europe

What Britain should say to the EU ... two words (the second is "off"; the first one slips my mind)

There are a few that we could choose....some of them only mildly expletive.

He's got too much on his mind tweeting about your football club. Anybody'd think he was the MP for Blackburn the way he's going on.

No I don't think it would do much good to contact the Hynburn MP....he thinks that 95% of the electorate couldn't care less about Europe (or that we are in it).
Would be good if we could be asked, so that we could all let our sentiments be known.

He isn't going to show any concern about that because, just like your Tory mates, he supports the rip-off that is the EU.

As for the chicken farmers, his "concern" is well out of order. He even brought it up in parliament the other month. He's the MP for HYNDBURN not BLACKBURN. If Blackburn shopping centre was having problems, would you expect him to be "showing concern" about that?

Better shut up before I get my knuckles rapped for thread-hijacking!
