Well I've only just started criminal law, and it doesnt quite come under any of the topics we cover, and as I dont intend on studying it further in the next years I may never know.

I shall ask a friend, although I cant see it being a crime...

It's nothing to do with xenophobia. You are just being plain silly. Mother's Day was celebrated here before, during and after the war with Nazi Germany as you very well know. If we went to war with another country which celebrated birthdays would that mean in your twisted view of logic that we should all stop celebrating birthdays?

Not a law student but yes it is a crime to be anti British, it is however a touchy area of law because of human rights acts. We as a country no longer actually recognise the human rights acts of the EU in order to get around a few things though.

It is a crime under the anti terror laws which govern inciting racial hatred.
