Or perhaps the title of this thread says it all.

The weather will soon get warmer, will the change of temperature to the sludge in the cut effect the speed at which the extinguisher travels? If so, will these changes be noticable or will the extinguisher negate such changes because of the heats affect on it's buoyancy?

I think I mentioned in post 157 that the ducks could be aliens. If one studies the duckling formation in post 138, one can see that it has an uncanny resemblance to a certain star system (which one, I haven't figured out yet ... no doubt there will be suggestions) ... If it doesn't respond to English, he could try standing there and quacking at it.;)

Can you eat a kettle of fish that's been filled with life from the canal?

I was thinking that the ducklings arrived in the "fire extinguisher" ... perhaps it's some alien form of the "Tardis" ... it makes sense, considering that Hydburn is the focus of Earth. You wouldn't expect them to show up in Moose Jaw;)

It's starting to make sense, no wonder the swan keeps driving those ducks away from the bread that is being offered, it is obviously the protector of all things abnormal that happen around here and should therefore be reveered by all that are allowed to gaze upon it's Plumage.

I would be a bit miffed to find out hundreds of aliens live inside fire extinguishers. We would have been putting them to a fiery death for years . :D

Now then!

I never thought anything about the little football before

But now there is two of them  and they appear to be gaining on the fire extinguisher

Those balls need watching closely - if they start growing, they're trouble.

But not every 1960s type London police box is a Tardis ... so, not every fire extinguisher is full of ducklings.

The footballs could be cause for concern ... other aliens most likely. It's not going to be pleasant in Hyndburn if an inter-galactic conflict breaks out in the cut:eek:... especially if the shopping carts get involved.

The footballs are populated by aliens from a different solar system. For many light years. they have been locked in a deadly war of attrition with the fire extinguisher aliens. They have chosen this desolate spot as their final battleground. The future of the Universe could well be decided in Clayton-le-Moors.

I know this to be true because the voices in my head have told me.

So...you've heard the voices too, Eric!

I don't think it's voices ... more like two great minds, separated by thousands of kilometres, independently arriving at the same inescapable conclusion.

By the way, what's your take on the shopping carts getting involved?

I'm surprised none of the local politicians are getting involved. The least they could do is head down to the cut and take a butchers.
