Good grief, is that what you need for German crabs? Still, a bit messy but easier than using a shopping trolley.

God grief no ! A small moustache, firm commands & paperwork in triplicate, failing that the threat of invasion usually produces results. :D

Further to all your requests for more information with regard to the extinguisher, I can now report it has passed Riley's swing bridge and is heading towards Church. However if you look at the photos you will see a barge heading towards it from the Church end, this puts a variable into the mix in that will the wash from the barge may induce a change of direction. Stay tuned for further reports.

I am typing this in crayon as I am not allowed anything sharp in here...........................coming nurse.....is it time for my pobbies

The object has indeed moved it has for the first time crossed the canal to the opposite side, unfortunately it has snagged on a tree branch. Although as predicted its reversed direction and is within spitting distance from Riley's swing bridge.

Will leave it there for now, got to sort out my anoraks

It's interesting to see that the object seems to be quite bouyant..maybe 50% of it above the waterline... does this suggests the object is empty of it's contents, or maybe not?

I can see you have given this some thought, it is a powder extinguisher and has indeed been discharged. I suspect there has been some seepage through the valves as it has been in the water for some time.

Even without the extinguisher to provide a focal point that is a very nice photo with the reflection in the water.

Thanks for keeping us informed on this. Are you going to check it regularly so that you can keep us updated on its whereabouts?

Wonder if there's a canal site like Cmon's ship site - we could look for it on there. HMS Dry Powder, fire prevention vessel.
