1. A money tree (I`ve took a cutting and planted it at the bottom of the garden)
2. Some money mushrooms.
3. River Twiss.
4-6 Pecca Falls.
7. Thornton force.
8. The view from the top.
9. Another waterfall.
10. River Doe.

Lovely waterfalls, and nice atmosphere in 8 :)

I have to agree with everyone else, number 4 has all the elements for a good composition, plus its a cracking subject water.

Today in Pictures becomes Yesterday in Pictures due to an overwhelming curriculum, the last time I was here it was covered with groups carrying carrier bags full of tinnies and disposable barbecues, nut jobs on motorbikes, and groups just forming a queue to hurtle over the weir. Today it was just me and nature, the rustle of the leaves turning brown and the music of the water as it flows toward the Calder.

1. When I first came here the river flowed off to the left.
2. Devils Bridge.
3. The river flows under the motorway, unnoticed by most drivers.
4. The Dunkenhalgh is just off to the right.
5. The browns of Autumn start to take over.
6. The land I am stood on was once part of the opposite bank, now the River Hyndburn has moved it over.
7. Same spot, but looking up stream.
8. Very little fungi are evident around here, but I found one collection.
9. I stumbled across this pond, never having seen it before.
10. Hold my coat.......I'm going in.

Thanks, it a pond I will return to at a later date to have a proper mooch around as I have never seen this before, there is one that you can see from the road, this must be behind it. You can make out a sluice gate on the right hand bank, so it must have supplied a factory at some point in its history.

Is the one you can see from the road rishton paper mill lodge? Or am I in the wrong area? :D

There's some lovely water shots being posted of late.

Pretty sure that`s the same one you can see from the road Dave, it`s quite a big private fishing lake.

I thought that initially, but I couldn't see the road from where I was and there is a line of trees on the right hand side, and from the road there is a gate so not sure if it is or not.

I came at it from the back side so not absolutely sure what it fed but you are in the right area.

Re: Today in pictures

I think the gate is being hidden because of the angle of the trees, it will be after that sluice gate (water from sluice gate comes out near the waterfall), Park View Garden Centre behind the trees opposite. Did you come up through the woods and have to walk around a fallen tree?
It`s a nice walk around the lake and worth a second look.

Just checked Google Earth and it is, as suggested the only water in the area, I came at it from the side of the factory and the river, it looks like the trees hid the road from my view. I have to say it looked more photogenic from the angle I viewed it from, and the view from the road I think hides the beauty of the area.
