I haven't heard of another lodge in that area other than the "paper mill lodge" (I'd be interested to know if it is different) the paper mill lodge use to be good fishing and was managed by hyndburn and Blackburn fishing club before it got polluted (think its free now).

Anyways, great shots as usual....Nice one :)

There is only one large pond just to the left of Hermitage street as you climb the hill to Rishton It few the Rishton paper Mill many years ago.
The river flows to the Clayton side of it and both parts of the old mill.
Does the river run underground in places between ASDA and the M65.
I don't venture off track much but seem to have lost it somewhere around the card factory.

It`s a nice walk around the lake and worth a second look.

I followed the river until I got to the Mill Wood and entered the wood just where the concrete mine shaft cap is located, I ambled through the woods until I came out just where the woods butts up to the reservoir. Never having been through that bit before was not totally sure of my location, I then headed back down to the disused factory.

It's catch up from Sunday, more spottering for the ancient mariner along the weser but this time at Bremen. So as not to OD on shippy things, a touristy amble about the city was instigated. :)

The Bremer Rathaus with the Bremer Roland out front - St.Petri Dom - Another landmark of Bremen "Der Stadtmusikanten" (the town musicians) based on a Brothers Grimm fairytale - A closer look at the Rathaus masonry work - Ahh ..... the elixir of life & a damned good reason for being in Germingland :D - The "Molentorn" light/navigation tower sitting on a spit of land separating the Weser from one of the Harbours - Bremen from the river - The "Schlachte" (promenade area full of cafes, bars & restaurants) St.Martini Kirche & the landing stage viewed from Wilhelm Kaisen bridge - The "Hanseat" our steed for the day - finally a couple of feathered urchins. :)

The river has a fork around the M65 (green arrow), and there are tunnels where I have put red and yellow circles. I think the other end of the tunnel with the yellow circle ends up at Hyndburn Brook (orange circle)
