I went along to the Museum at Leyland and they had the old charabanc out so I had a ride round in it.
No.3 A genuine Burnley tram conductors badge, shown by the grandson of the original owner.

No. 4 A working lorry which is not being restored because it has been used in a few TV programs. Drove in by a nice young lady.
No. 5 The tax disc they had to put in the window for the filming.

No. 6 My old favourite, brings back memories.
No. 7, Finally to balance the books, my rose without the creepy crawler.

Not bored in the slightest. I enjoy everyone's different take on the Today in Pictures thread. :)

Some pics from today's exercise walk - the leaves they are a changin'!
Also a one from our condo's meet your neighbours BBQ (good lads these - they helped by setting up, flipping burgers and putting stuff and burgers away. I was amused by their choice of T-shirts!) and a few more from the Limehouse Trail.

Today in Pictures, there is always a wet bit before we head back.

1.Start point, its made out of ginger bread, well I thought it was until I licked it.
2. The stuff that fungi are made for.
3. Whalley Road passes straight through the bank of trees over yonder.
4. I'm from the valleys (say with a welsh accent).
5. Once again the colours of the Summer fade to the colours of Autumn and as this transition occurs the plucky photographer with a moist gusset is there to record the bounty each season brings.
6. That's a big knobbly thing.
7. Very soon the rains will swell the river and will take with it the herbage that has sprung up in the fertile sediment on the edge of the River Calder.
8. There I am thinking that I was the only person for miles, then the place gets mucked up with folk.
9. That's what happens if you don't moisturise.
10. Heading back up the hill we notice a plume of smoke, I get out my pocket guide to smoke signals and start to transcribe the message, it goes as follows.........MY.............HOUSE............IS ..............ON..................FIRE.......

today in pictures, what I thought would be an uninteresting walk around the park at teatime turned into the opposite, and made me late home for comestibles.

1. They are starting to look a bit tired, and the weeds are taking over, but still a red drift in a browning environment.
2. The sun behind a tree (just in case you didn't get it)
3. I'm on the floor again.
4. I think those leaves are glad its time to change position.
5. Why are the vast majority of Fungi in shades of brown?
6. See.
7.Getting ready.
8. So is this one.
9. Will this have time to flower.
10. Just to finish off, another flat on my face shot.

Found my camera ... it was in the cupboard with the canned goods:confused: ... whatever; there's no snow, no squirrels ... so here's a fat, fluffy, furball contemplating mischief:
