Accrington Web - Today in pictures

Some nice photos there, A, especially the robin and the fungus. And... you captured old Rothwell House from the back!!! Thank you for that!! It certainly has seen better days, but it's good to see it anyway. In the back garden we had geese, and ducks in the shed. The upper left hand window was the bathroom, and my mother once leaned out of it and shot my Dad's .22 over the head of some guy who was trying to break into the back door. She scared him off, for sure. I'm just glad she missed hitting him :)

I thought you'd like the Rothwell house shot T,it has seen better days ;).
The Robin came and stood on the fence, right at the side of me,I couldn't believe it,not a care in the world.

Best Heron shots I've seen :)
I've seen herons many a time in the valley where I live, (they're migratory out of necessity) and I've tried to snap one as it takes off, but to no avail. I'll have to sit more patiently to watch and capture one, but the mozzies and black flies make me think twice :eek: This summer I'll try not to be such a wimp. That and smothering myself with Deep Woods Off!
