Had a wander or two up Pendle Hill this weekend. Feel free to correct me if i`m wrong with the bird species.

1&2. A Meadow Pipit, noisy & fast little sods when flying.
3. The low fog made for some lovely views.
4. Even the dogs liked them.
5. I think.
6. Looking down towards Pendleton.
7. The busiest bit, from the steps coming up from Barley to the summit.
8. Loads of meadow pipits just took off in a big flock, I wonder what could have spooked them.
9&10. The probable answer to 8, a Peregrine Falcon, my first sighting of one and hopefully not the last.

Had a wander round my garden this weekend.

Then did my stint in the Blind Society shop in the Arndale. It was not worth opening.

Today in Pictures, Spring is creeping up on Foxhill Bank.

1. The early cherries are almost full out.
2. And the Butterbur are just poking there heads out close to the water.
3. Marsh Marigold.
4. Wood anemone.
5. A fungi thrown in for good measure.
6. Pussy Willows are just opening.
7. Another Cherry taking in the sun.
8. Tinker Brook as it takes a turn around the edge of the area.
9. A low sun is still giving long shadows.
10. The shrubs are just starting to leaf up.

Some stunning shots all round gpick.

I would put 1 and 2 down as a Skylark.

Today in Pictures is a mish mash of the last two days, and snaps taken when I could.

1. Giant Marestails are busting through the grass.
2. The sun is bringing stuff out.
3. I am drawn to the colour of this cherry, there are not many early Cherries this colour in the area.
4.I will probably take a few more snaps before they fade for the year.
5. Marsh Marigold as it starts to cover the area under the trees.
6. They close up as the sun goes down.
7. You are not supposed to snap these, I could wet the bed now.
8. It will be a long time before conkers are on the branches.
9. Not sure what the reasoning is for the placement, but people have been learning wood craft.
10. A host of golden................Marsh Marigolds.
