I bet there was a strong whiff of 'eat de wet chien' at your house last night.
What great pictures. The dogs look like they had a whale of a time.

They have put the concrete bases in for the ticket machines, so not much longer now before it costs £1 between 8am and 5pm to park.

Looks beautiful and there is already a nice display of flowers - can't believe a year has passed since we went on our photography walk there!

My thoughts exactly Margaret. Springers do love the water. I especially like the last 2 photos :)

You came to mind as I was perambulating around, the steps you snapped me in a prone position, and me returning the compliment when you were snapping Rhododendrons. As you say a year has passed, and when I think back what life has thrown at us all between those blue flowers, how did we manage to fit it all in to a year.

Today in Pictures, time to see if Priestly Clough has started its conversion to green.

1. Heading up Woodnook Vale and then left down to Priestly.
2. Marestails, these are the ones that get about 5' high.
3. Standing on the bridge, always a bad idea, water has to be wet.
4. That's better, although getting down was not as easy as first though.
5. Wild Garlic just starting to send up a flower spike, right next to Lesser Celandine.
6. Heading back for a bit of nose bag.
7. The sunshine has brought out the Wood Sorrel, a pretty flower but often overlooked due to its size.
8. Not much tree canopy yet, giving Wild Garlic a chance to flower, most of the green you see the Garlic (Ransoms)
9. Heading back to the car.
10. I used to play here when what you see was lodges.

Lovely pics Jen.That is where all the butterflies are then....your garden!

We only see the blue tits first thing in the morning. The time varies but today it was 7am.

http://www.yoolgedit.co.uk/thingstod...uetits-066.jpg

The sun is just in the right spot at that time of day, maybe that is why they visit us then.

http://www.yoolgedit.co.uk/thingstod...uetits-087.jpg

It is fascinating watching them and in a way I am glad they are not around all day - I am in DIY mode and if they were always outside, nothing would get done.
The photos are taken through the dining room window from a tripod mounted camera. I use a remote shutter release which means I can sit back, enjoy the show and still get the pics I want.

I am still trying to get a decent shot of the pair of them together.
She looks grumpy this morning, must be a woman thing :)
