Re: observer auction

I've just had a horrible thought.

We signed Craney and Jacobson at the very end of January - the end of the transfer window. Yet my understanding of the league rules are that we can't sign anyone if we are behind on our payments to HMRC (due the 19th or 22nd, depending on payment method). We know we were late on making that payment, but I wonder when the destraint notice was issued? If it was sometime in the last week of January we could really be in some deep poo-poo with the FL and even without the destraint notice timing the FL may well be not very understanding.

Re: observer auction

but technically you're not behind until after 28 dayss apparently, could be wrong though.

Greeny came up with a good idea on Facebook - maybe we could all buy something at 'the auction' and thus we have a community owned club!

'twould be funny to watch Ilyas bidding to buy everything for a nothingness price to 'hire' back to the club

I don't know where that 28 days comes from. HMRC says you're behind if you ain't paid by the 19th or 22nd; I assume that the extra 28 days is a seperate football league ruling. Can anyone clarify?

Re: observer auction

So if the revenue from tomorrow's match is going to be used to pay off the remaining £9k, then if the game is cancelled, the auction goes ahead. I hope it's dry in Accy overnight!

Would the gate money pay the bill anyway ? Today's game is the freebie for anybody who bought 2 previous tickets, less season ticket holders. On a gate of about 1300 be lucky if the match income is much more than 10k, then there are expenses to come out.

The article ( if correct ) says February tax bill will be paid by football league money, so whats going to pay the wages ?

somethings going to have to give pretty soon

I so wish the protest march was still on for today - at least we'd feel like we were doing something!

Re: observer auction

Im sick to the back teeth of them all.

If I was in charge they would all be banned from the ground.

No wonder Coley has finally had enough.

Re: observer auction

Apart from gate money there will be programme sales ( don't know the profits ) merchandise , refreshments, maybe they bring in a fair bit . Lets be positive , we soon have a run of howm games too. Ilyas has said we all been patient but to be patient a bit longer, maybe, just maybe he knows what is happening .
