In which case, it's almost a done deal that we'll lose the central spine of our team at the end of the season - Edwards, Ryan & Gornell will almost certainly follow Coley ... and on a free transfer

Contracts in football as we all know mean nothing.

ALL that matters is money / the price.

I.E How much Bradford will have to pay Stanley to buy Coley and JB out of theirs.

Re: observer auction

The only use of a long-term contract is its value as a deterrent due to compensation costs. If Bradford are quite happy to pay, then we're buggered. What use is compensation money to us, especially when the gruesome twosome are still around? What's more, what self respecting manager would want to come work at our circus, especially when considering the probable situation that Whalley Red predicts; with our quality players all leaving. More and more each day I hope to see O'Neill's & Whalley's heads on pikes. Fingers crossed eh.

Re: observer auction

Coley third favourite with the bookies at 3-1, just shortened from 14-1.

Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't he massive favourite last time at some point.

Secondly the bookies odds are normally massively influenced by betting trends, so it's probably just a few wishful thinking Bradford fans taking a punt.
