Keep an eye on your broadband speed @ http://www.adslguide.org.uk/tools/speedtest.asp and PC Wizard 2004 is a good one for checking your PC speed. plus keep checking for viruses.

Have a go with spybot 1.3, click mode then advanced. click tools and check your system startup programs, (untick all the ones you dont know). good luck
Its a good start for speeding up your PC.

What AV are you using. I always used norton but it got to be a pain in the ass. I now use AVG which when i install it found viruses norton did not, plus its free. Nice one AVG...

No not yet, i came across it again tonight but saw it happen for my self. I uninstalled a program call "P2P networking" and after i had "The page cannot be displayed". i've seen this program before...

Sounds like you had a lot of fun with your network! Have you tried SP2 for XP its got a new ICF with more controll allowing File and Printer Sharing to be enabled or disabled and many other things...
