there was 3 entrances Barrie a door corner of Blackburn Rd, the Swivel Doors on Church Street, then just farther up, a door entrance to the cocktail bar.;)

Was this the period when the landlord was called Keegan?
I remember my brother used to go to the Commercial to play games(and to watch TV - theirs was better than ours) with the landlords son.......his name was Bradley Keegan(the son, that is)...can't for the life of me remember the name of the dad.

One of my work mates when I first started at Gilbraith Tankers was a part time barman there, his name was Fred Greer

was a great mate of mine fred, went on to be T.G.W.U. District Officer, worked wi him a few years, then he moved oer Bury way, were he still lives.;)

Wetherspoons have confirmed the opening date of the Commercial as Thursday 21st July.
