Re: Christian Science
I have a few questions (they may be a bit silly, but it`s a silly sort of thread), if getting into heaven doesnt require you to be good, but to spread the word of god -
1. What`s the point of having 10 commandments 2. Does that mean any child the dies has no chance of going to heaven because they haven`t lived long enough to spread the word of god. 3. Does anyone who has never learned to read or has never owned a bible has no chance either. 4. Will all gods paedophile church ministers will be welcomed with open arms. 5. Why is there no mention of Kangaroos in the bible. |

I didn't look at this thread yesterday... well it was Sunday... and have now spent a couple of hours catching up and will not see that again - even though I need all I can get. But it was entertaining.

I really wanted to answer some of those questions that Gpick posed, but I thought I would see what K99 had to say about them first...after all he is the expert.

While I slept…..
….morning again here, usual cuppa and check of the A/W posts. Can’t believe how much has gone on while I slept. He's still raving on... Have now spent a bit of time catching up and have come to the conclusion that K99 (was just going to call him K9 to save time – but that would be doing a good and faithful animal an unforgiveable injustice, so I’ll stick to 99) at times shows a very unchristian streak with some of his comments. He has the same one-eyed attitude that one encounters when faced with the door knockers and conveniently dismisses points made by making sweeping statements – usually gleaned from quotes by other people or taken from ‘the’ book. He says his God is a loving God – just go and visit the Children’s Wards in hospitals K99 – especially the cancer ones, and then say this. Oh! ******….my caffeine has gone cold. |

Re: Christian Science
“People think of faith as being something that you don't really believe, a device in helping you believe simply it. Of course that is quite wrong. As Pascal says, faith is a gift of God. It is different from the proof of it. It is the kind of faith God himself places in the heart, of which the proof is often the instrument...
He says of it, too, that it is the heart which is aware of God, and not reason. That is what faith is: God perceived by the heart, not be reason.” ― Malcolm Muggeridge, The End of Christendom |

I might live in Australia but I am still a Lancashire lass (albeit an old one now) at heart. A bit pathetic in your greeting - it's G'day mate btw. I would object to you saying 'hi' to me as this is a personal sort of greeting from a friendly acquaintance. I do not put you in either of these capacities - friend or acquaintance.
Once again you have failed to make comment on an important point - you seem to have a habit of doing this - just gleaning over what you can't answer....... ....and God said 'suffer the little children....' and some of them certainly do! Why? |

JCB, He won't, we all are waiting for some.
Speaking of questions? Why, Kevin, do you find it okay to insult Gremans 'Block Heads', Australians ' G'day', Northerners 'Various things including, Flat Cap Wearing' and according to Amazon, Women, review for the Winslow Boy dvd, Homosexuals 'Cambridge Spies'. Whats next, Africans maybe?, why don't you use the K word to describe them, you may sound like a white south african. I know, how about those who are un married, like myself and my good lady, living in sin. You see Kevin, my Grand Parents were very strict Catholics, they were quite happy with pur arrangements and never once passed judgement, much as you do. Have you read Mathew 7:2-5 recently, it covers judgong people rather well i thought |
