Re: Volcanic ash cloud on its way
If anyone is thinking the closure of UK airspace may be a bit dramatic this might be of interest...
British Airways Flight 9 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia I was under impression it was Fergie shouting the odds, seeing they will be lucky to win anything this year.... |
Re: Volcanic ash cloud on its way
did the Wright brothers have all these problems?
they just got on with it - mind you they didn't have passengers; which is where the problem lies. Show me a traveller and I'll show you a disgruntled passenger - and quite rightly so. good luck Mr boeing |
Re: Volcanic ash cloud on its way
don't understand the passengers that are bitching, they would have summat to bitch about, if their planes engines stopped/clogged up etc because of it.

Re: Volcanic ash cloud on its way
That's simple to sort -
'all passengers wishing to meet the volcanic debris to the right' those declining to the left. and off we go at least then you have a choice instead of the usual being dictated to! I want 'Airplane 2' pilot to take me (can't remember his name) I know he flew in vietnam - damn good pilot! regards Martin |

Re: Volcanic ash cloud on its way
thanks Cashman
they unfortuanetly don't have a choice by the fact that they are drones - when's the last time you travelled?? sorry I don't want to seem nasty best wishes Martin |

Re: Volcanic ash cloud on its way
merely the fact that when you're travelling the governing bodies all seem to treat us like cattle and in so doing the officiators 'herd' us along - which makes them drones --
no particular offensive on you - but travel is getting worse by the day - I was really asking if you see the herding mentality? - just me having a go! Martin |
Re: Volcanic ash cloud on its way
The herding to me started getting far worse after 9/11 martin, in the good ole USofA, i noticed, its really bad, hence aint gone oer yon fer a few years.

Re: Volcanic ash cloud on its way
Does anyone know how many tonnes of carbon emissions have been discharged into the atmosphere by the Icelandic volcano eruption, and how many jumbo jet miles does that represent?

Re: Volcanic ash cloud on its way
Martin, being aircrew, I am afraid I take exception to being called a drone.
We too are herded through the airport. This is what you, the traveling public, want. Cheap flights etc. If both pilots are unhappy about the conditions they will have no hesitation in staying put on the ground. After all we have families as well. Safe flying. For once I agree with mancie nice point about bolox |
Re: Volcanic ash cloud on its way
And another thing, while I am still on one.... Passengers love to ask why they cannot fly, in our airline they tend to scream and shout a lot, but thats what you get for working for a lo cost airline in a Morocco. If we tell you it is for your own safety, believe me it is. We don't like hanging around either.
I am sick of the idiots on the tv whining that they cannot fly because of a cloud.... |
