as anyone else thought of this ... food from around the world is flown into the UK and europe .. thats how we get our strawberries, bananas, coffee, tea, etc so if theres been no flights since thursday and none likely tomorrow either .. whats that going to do to our food .. is it going to be a fight in tesco for the last banana ..:D:D:D

and just the prices will go up because some of the stuff may have died and gone to fruit heaven .. and so the sellers cant sell it .. will have to get the cost of growing it back on the other stuff that has ripened later .. in otherwords this is going to cost us ..

....some exotic fruit and veg will be in short supply.

We survived without those exotics during the 40s and 50s.
Lack of spanish strawberries is not life threatening :D

FFyfes (sp?) used to have a big depot on Preston Docks back in the days when it was a port , kids on our street never went short after my Dad had been on a run there with his lorry .:D

Well I have warned you a few times to stock up on non perishable food.
..... and I still haven't located a retailer of dried egg yet :D

PS -all it needs is for Yellowstone to blow and we go hungry good style
