They paid to get home? They're mugs then. My airline covered the flight expense. My expenses were just from food and accommodation and everything else that goes with being stuck in a city that you haven't actually spent any time in/

Yes, I might do when I get a decent chance and I'm not tied up with work. Probably in a few days.

They didnt have a choice .. they were offered a flight home on 23rd .. they said yes .. then the airline said that was a no go .. and offered them a flight home at the end of this coming week!!! because the airline only flies out there once a week and wasnt putting any extra flights on. They had to get back one is at university and the other works full time ..

It’s a bit early for Iceland volcano jokes. We should wait awhile for the dust to settle.

I see that America has declared war on Iceland. Apparently they are accusing them of harbouring a “weapon of ash eruption”.

It was the last wish of the Icelandic economy that its ashes be scattered over Europe.

Iceland goes bankrupt, then it manages to set itself on fire. This has insurance scam written all over it.

"Waiter, there's volcanic ash in my soup." "I know, it's a no-fly zone."

Iceland's Government was to reimburse the British Government 75 percent of the compensation it paid to the British deposit holders in Icelandic banks. The British Government paid out CASH; it didn't expect the reimbursement of 3/4 of that to be ASH.
:D:D
