I have stated elsewhere in other threads that I don't agree, with some of the measures the present Coalition Government are doing, despite that to all intents & purposes it's being run by "The Damned Tories" ! But Your cherished Labour wouldn't have been any better as they too would've had to share the platform with the Lib-dems for them to seriously have had any chance of continued tenure in office. But as MC Broon was in charge there was no chance. Surely then If they'd have been the good Socialists you espouse them to be, quite simply for the good of the people & benefit & equality for all (the basic ground tenet of Socialism) McBroon & those associated with his despotic reign would've stepped aside for the benefit of all ? Er, I didn't see that happening ! In fact quite the opposite transpired it was more akin to the Roman senate of 44 BC ! Et tu, Brute ? ;) |

Ah yes, after a period of consultation ! ;) Sorry Jay, couldn't resist Mate ! But before the Trotsky twins start to gloat have a read of this, from the Grauniad of all Dailies ! :- U-turns are David Cameron's strength ? and may win him an election | Matt Grist | Comment is free | guardian.co.uk |

I just assumed the Peoples' Nancie, and cumonEileen, are Tory activists.
Planted here to bore every potential voter into submission, and vow never to vote Labour again. |

Jaysay, since you posted directly after him? Is this the caring face of the political left? Castigating his ability to work, because he can't, through serious ill health? Whilst 'you' have to work until sixty eight. Unless you have a crystal ball, count your blessings if you're still here at sixty eight, and able to work. No one knows what's around the corner in this life. A true socialist, of which you're not one, would happily work, if they were fit and able, in order to provide for those in genuine need, who could no longer earn a living because of illness. Like I said, your measly, whingingly selfish attitude has more in common with Thatcherism, than it has to the ideals of true socialism. Self-pitying, as well as boring in the extreme. Well done. |
