This story gets worse and worse. Now there is a suggestion that the phones of the parents of the two little girls murdered in Soham had their phones hacked.............

re: News of the World Mobile Phone Hacking
It would appear to be far to easy to listen to someone else's voicemail. Time the carriers sorted this out if they have not already.

re: News of the World Mobile Phone Hacking
This never used to happen in the days when to make a phone call you had to find a phone box that hadn't been vandalise.;)

Agreed. Unless they're dressing up as arabs, and tricking that greedy cow Fergie into selling dates with Air-miles Andy. That's quite helpful, to republicans at least. |

True. Though in this age of easy litigation, it is unbelievable that the NOTW editors didn't know the source of where the stories they printed came from. Stories are supposedly checked by teams of lawyers. To save them money, in case they're sued. The rot runs all the way from the reporters, to the editors, to Murdoch. |
re: News of the World Mobile Phone Hacking
Truly amazing to watch a News International lackey tell an interviewer with a completely straight face that Rebekkah Wade was heading an enquiry into this incident which occurred when the NoW's editor was...Rebekkah Wade.
If Cameron had any guts he would order a fullscale independent enquiry into the tactics of the NoW and the whole of the tabloid press and he'd instigate the replacement of the toothless Press Complaints Commission with a body that has real powers. Not holding my breath though. |

Will this lead to the Demise of 'News OF The World' ? Ford have announced they will no longer advertise in NOTW and several other companies are reviewing the matter.
Ford pulls News of the World advertising - Daily Finance UK Pending this response we will be using alternative media within and outside News International Group instead of placing Ford advertising in the News of the World." The brands that could also - potentially - drop its advertising with the paper are a roster of just about every blue-chip consumer brand you care to name: Easyjet, Halifax, BT, Nationwide, Virgin, Carpetright, Renault. T-Mobile reviews News of the World advertising over Milly Dowler phone hacking claims - Telegraph A T-Mobile spokesman told the Telegraph: "We’re currently reviewing our advertising position with News of the World, following the recent allegations, and await the outcome of the ongoing police investigation.” It is also understood that Currys and PC World are reviewing their options. |
re: News of the World Mobile Phone Hacking

Milly Dowler, the Soham families....now you can add the bereaved families of the 7/7 terrorist attacks, Madelaine McCann's family.......all had their phones tapped by the News of the World. The list is getting longer and longer and sicker and sicker.
This is building into a scandal of epic proportions...... |
