Get round their quick, you might still be in time to claim a half, and some nuts.

:D

I was in a bar in Wapping the last time Murdoch shut down one of his papers; the place got wrecked. That was back in the mid-nineties. I didn't particularly want to be in a similar place again, although saturday night all went peacefully & some chums of mine - with no connection to NI -drank free until 5am, all on Murdoch.

She had to go once the revelations that Millie Dowler's phone had been hacked "on her watch" were made public. It's a shame it took her so long.

I heartily agree.......she has no scruples. I just hope we see her get her just desserts(and that they are not trifling, I know....I'll get my coat)

Re: Rebekah Brooks resigns

At the risk of sounding "hairist" am I the only person who thinks that Rebekah Brooks did herself no favours with her choice of hairstyle that makes her look like the wicked witch of the west?

A sensible bob might have made the public more willing to listen to her protestations of innocence.

And before we conclude that things couldnt get much lower, lets spare a thought for any poor ex NOTW executive who ever had a sleep over with Peter Mandelson.

As was pointed out a couple of threads were discussing the same thing. To try and make it easier and clearer I have renamed this thread and merged the "Rebekah Brooks Resigns" thread into this one.

I will leave the Murdoch power thread as it is a different subject and not just about the News Of The World.

Hope this makes it easier to follow for those that asked.

As the Corgi said to the Bishop.."how low can you go":D..but then we have news today that Dave Camerons chum Andy Coulson stayed a weekend at Chequers with the PM two months after he had resigned over his involvement in the hacking affair...seems Mr Cameron is just as thick in this particular jam as Blair and Brown.;)
