Sorry but why would you have to sample the food?? Just go to the one in Lancaster. I've been to Wetherspoon's all over the country and just like Mac D's and KFC (which i've been in all over the world!) taste the same, nothing is different, all that will be different is the decor.

I shall be going in on Thursday or Friday though to have a look.

More thread duplications, I see. Someone is deliberately trying to wind up those dedicated, hard working, never complaining people, the moderators. Such action is an absolute disgrace.

As for wetherspoons thursday night, I would rather spend the evening luxuriating in a bath of cat snot.

I've got a Housing Association meeting in Accrington on Thursday so I'll pop in and have a swift pint.

Re: Wetherspoons

I think he meant 'grugly'

Urban dictionary -
grugly - a mix between gross and ugly

Margaret Pilkington 16-07-2011 19:54

Re: Wetherspoons

Or it might have been 'fuggly'........you can put your own connotations to that. But I know what I mean.(and it may not be what you are thinking)

Looks like they have made a good job of doing it up, all sandblasted and nice new roof, saw the air con being craned in the other week, gotta be an improvement on a boarded up derelict mess. I'll have a nosey when I get chance!

It does look good.
They have made a very pleasing job of the exterior.

We will be having a look on Thursday or Friday. Hopefully it will be on a par with some of the good ones - it all depends on the management. If they maintain high standards it could be fine. After all they don't have much competition in the town centre.
