It's before. You're entrapped. Fork out 10 quid and get two plate loads of microwaved slops and thats it, mate. No comeback.

Pay as you order - same in quite a few places in Accrington and other towns. Imposta, Annie's, Costa, the Market Hall cafes and of course McD and the like.

Won't argue for 5p Cashy, could well have been £1.65 & £1.85:) I was only really concerned with the Kronenbourg and quite happy to pay extra on that as it is a long walk to the Queen's from the town centre:D

Re: Wetherspoons

there are some people that it won't suit....but there are some who will find it fits the bill in certain circumstances........Having a hot drink while waiting for an evening bus........there is nowhere open to get refreshments in Accrington Town centre if you happen to be there after 6pm.

Tealeaf doesn't like the chain, he has said so, many times...but he won't be press ganged into the place.....and for those who like it then what is the problem?
Live and let live.
If Wetherspoons provide a decent service then they will survive...if they don't then they won't stay........and that fine building will probably fall into ruin.

Went past a lunchtime seemed to be plenty in, was also going to call in the research centre, but they're knocking the place to pieces

Popped down to Accrington at lunchtime, the town looked lovely, just a pity The Post Office Arcade seems to be struggling

Will put some photos in The Gallery later

The Commercial gets my vote. I ordered the roast beef and kinda half expected thinly sliced shoe leather but was pleasantly surprised to receive several reasonably thick slices of what tasted like real roast beef. The price was right and the service very good.

They've done a brilliant job on the Beer garden at the rear. very pleasant.

All in all I would recommend it for a quick economic meal.
:)
