I didn't get to any of them......No I lie, went to the Mecca twice(as a student nurse with a group of students)...on a Wednesday which was known as Grab a granny night....cut price night.
I maybe would have liked to go to the more adventurous places,(Joe Morts...Knowlmere Street) but didn't have the money or the opportunity. My mother always found me something 'better' to do.......aah well!

Still waiting for Anne to tell us what "culturally acceptable" pursuits she would suggest for Accringtonians to while away their leisure time.

I think I might have a long wait.

As one of the riff raff referred to in an earlier post , i have to say if the club is successful good luck to its owners and workers. But as the great Paddy mac says no likee no lookiee, some people need to get a grip what do they think this club will lead too? The moral and cultural breakdown of life in accrington, bit late for that the horse has already bolted. At the moment the opening of a titty bar is the least of our problems with as garinda has said, business after business closing, shops and property standing empty(until maundy grange buys it) the town is on its arse anyway so a few more bums and boobs wont make much difference.

A few more boobs might not go amiss but there's enough bums in town and you've stated the reason already

Dunno about that, Dave. As Cashy has already pointed out, our Anne was a bit of a Northern Soulie in her youth (inbetween visits to the gay bar). See "Barbary Coast" thread. Maybe she should start a Northern Soul night. Me and thee'd be up there like a shot! :D

Thinking about it, he hasn't been on here for ages.

Since this thread in fact.

What's the matter Kevin, Satan's cat got your tongue?

No whore like fees, for sharing your thoughts on here?

Don't like spouting off when you're on an even keel, and people have the ability to speak back?

Love to hear your moral objections to Big Bouncing Bertha's Bar and Grill.
