Re: Today in pictures
I also like the reflection shot -original and we can now see you don't look like a Gremlin!;) Nice shots from your short break too -always nice to have an unplanned break -often the best ones are improvised.
I find insects difficult to take -don't have a Macro and they never seem to stay still long enough -especially butterflies! Dave last lots were good - loved the waterfall close-up and the fly really jumps out at you - off to have a look at mine from yesterday -went out late afternoon to start a Barbecue but my son took over and I had a wander with the camera... |
Re: Today in pictures
The reflection was a mistake that's why I stuck the paper behind the long legged thing for the second try.
I put the reflection photo on to show my mistake. |

Results of my wanderings yesterday evening around the farm -was struck by how many old doors there are -all shapes and sizes...The first door (two in one) is one of the oldest I think and is no longer opened. The farm was up and running 1760.
The anvil at the end is for Dave -I know it's his sort of thing...:) |

Yes, we had some lovely days........it rained in the night when we were asleep, and sometimes we got a swift shower, but the rain was warm.

Ha ha Dianne great minds think alike but today you got there first! I had just been through my photos and put together a portfolio of doors - here is the first batch!
1 National library of Greenland, Nuuk (capital of Greenland) 2 Door at the back of the old church, Sisimuit, Greenland 3 Reconstructed Viking church and longhouse (in the back ground), Brattahlid, Greenland The Fate of Greenland's Vikings 4 Posh dining area on board cruise ship Discovery 5 Cork library 6 Brightly coloured shop/office, Cork 7 Somewhere in Cork 8 Turkey comes to Cork 9/10 Georgian doorways in Cork - Irish ones seem to be wider than here, and often have the two side pieces as in pic 9 - I've seen similar in Dublin |
Re: Today in pictures
A lot of the doors are like that in Bath. A blue badge guide told us that this was to allow for the ladies dresses of the time...the pavements were wider too for the same reason.
