A selection of photos from a walk to the little hamlet of Cortetano which I can see from the back of my house. The shrine is at the end of the lane and has been rennovated by the owner of our farm, the tree next to it is a Mulberry. There's also a shot of a Medlar tree in fruit in the village, next to the old Villa with the fancy entrance archway. There are quite a lot of old run-down buildings in the place but it has a ceratin crumbling charm!

Sue, my handbag would be a very uncomfortable place for you be...it is full of things...just stuffed in.....all manner of things from a drink stirrer to a pair of spencer wells forceps(I use them to retrieve my quid from supermarket trolleys)...plus of course the usual: lip balm, handcream, pens, pencils, erasers and a pencil sharpener.....much safer in my pocket.

Today in Pictures, through the Dunkenhalgh Estate, not sure if I was on a footpath or an animal trail for the start of the exercise.
1. Start point, bovine pruning. 2. A badly damaged tree still giving it a go. 3. This looks a bit sinister to me. 4. The other footpath is just beyond the trees. 5. Another tree that fell over. 6. I am normally on the other side of the river. 7. Home to roost. 8. An impressive stand of Beech trees. 9. Further down the same tree line. 10. This is the furthest point and back on the right side of the river. |
