Today our bus ride took us to Manchester.
The Christmas lights were switched on last night and the Christmas Markets started yesterday.
I hope my pictures give you a little flavour of the day.

No, I didn't know that...see you learn something every day....and no, it wasn't windy....this is one of hose men who stand absolutely still and then when you donate something, they spring into action...he is called The windblown Man....and I'm sure it said on his collecting tin that he is on facebook.
He was very effective.

It is Turtle......I should be more careful. Had I seen that I would have tried to edit it out.
I don't much like having my image spotted :)

The white spire in the first pic is Ossolaro seen just outside the farm the other village is Castlenuovo del Zappa -can hear the bells ringing from there. From around the farm you can see 5 different church towers...The shrooms are a homage to DaveMac - not in his league - yet :D The brown sign in the last pic is on the corner of the lane and is the name of the farm where I now live.

Nowt wrong with them shrooms, I know what you mean about getting back up, I make a lot of noise, those water shots are very interesting how is the bridge still stood up, it looks like it could fall at any minute. Looks like a "tuck your dress in your knickers shot" and wade out for a different perspective, well thats what I would do, well I would if I wore knickers.........and a dress of course.

Is that a seagull in No. 6?

It is, there was a crow right behind it, They were bombing one another in a field close by, had I known they were going to come into shot I would have waited, but thats the way it goes.

Today in Pictures was almost a middle of the night pictures, a very early start had me out of bed hours before the sun was anywhere near the horizon. So my pictures are in the dark, not something I want to make a habit of.

I have spent a while messing about with the pictures I have taken today.
Here are just a couple that have had the photscape treatment....in the style of coloured pencil drawings.

I have to say that the Arndale Christmas decorations are very insipid this year.

I like what you've done to these. Nice effect. It adds to the photos, not detracts.
Very gracious of you, by the way. I didn't have to open my trap :)
