Think he was with 'em when they recorded "Slow Down" because he's shown second from left on the picture sleeve that appears on the video. He's also second from left on the "still" picture above. However, he's not on some of the other pictures, so he can't have been in the band all the way through their lifespan.

Used to go regularly, '74-'77, but mainly with folk from Manchester where I was working.

This was one of the big sounds during my time there...

Cash-in record which would have been laughed off the dancefloor at any Northern disco. Original version was big in Wigan though...

Just for you, Yerself, the one tenuous link between Wigan and Woodstock.

Festival stars Sly & The Family Stone did an instrumental version of their first hit under the pseudonym The French Fries - a huge dancefloor filler at the Casino. Enjoy!

What is this life if, full of care,

We have no time to stand and stare.

No time to stand beneath the boughs

And stare as long as sheep or cows.

No time to see, when woods we pass,

Where squirrels hide their nuts in grass.

No time to see, in broad daylight,

Streams full of stars, like skies at night.

No time to turn at Beauty's glance,

And watch her feet, how they can dance.

No time to wait till her mouth can

Enrich that smile her eyes began.

A poor life this if, full of care,

We have no time to stand and stare.
