Aye cabin is up & MIck S is really happy with it, new paint job and is wired up ready, tho he has specifically stated that it ISN'T a police box, its the Safety Officers Control Room where safety officers monitor the whole ground ensuring everyones safety accordingly:D

Enjoyed my tour round the old SOC room now hope for a tour in the new one now :D:D:D

Forgive me yonmon, but I had to find out as it was bugging me!

perspicacity - intelligence manifested by being astute (as in business dealings)

Now I know you still have that "sarcastic" streak that I love :) :)

Not really Cowboy !... for 'Sarcasm is the lowest form of wit ' (attributed to Oscar Wilde !)...and I would never stoop to employing it on our Forum !..call me a lover of Irony and Litotes if you like, but Sarcastic...never !.

( Alfred.E. points out that IRONY , Ms Irony Smith.. is the redhead three doors down !! ... )

Yes of course you are right my friend, however, would you not agree with my late father that although sarcasm may be the lowest form of wit it can also be the most satisfying :)

YES !!....and.... NO !!.....and like Cashy it would appear that your Father and I had similar outlooks on the vagaries of life !!..
But to return to the thread before Stanleymad tells me off again..I'm glad to hear that The Control Box is in situ..and
that the pitch is getting better every day !...all it needs is the embargo to be lifted, and for our esteemed Manager and his Assistant to put the finishing touches to a Team which will make us all proud !!...
'ON STANLEY...ON TO GREATER THINGS !!!'

Someone with more knowledge than myself about such matters (see my posts about muck being the answer to all things horticultural !)...did mention the term 'OVERSEEDING',and that this process is what the pitch really needed to give it stability and durability ...which does sound like a rather costly exercise to me Cashy !.

( Alfred.E. says that reading this thread is like watching the grass grow !)

Re: Pitch

The original seeding took place during that dry spell. Despite the sprinkler system it must have been a nightmare to try and get it to germinate properly, and more importantly evenly
