I really hate to mention it .... but I will .... what beautiful weather we are having .... Aahhh, high teens for the daytime, under clear skies, humidity low, air quality great, no rain in sight for the next three days .... It don't get much better than this. And the long range forcast: even better! It does get better!!!!!!

But we did put in a long miserable winter.

Brought up memories again of Virginia Brian, week before I went there, they had just had a hail storm, with hail as big as cricket balls and twice as lethal, nearly all the cars in South Boston had large dints in them and the roofs .. well. Ladies at work had saved one in the freezer .. wow!

At least the rain at the moment is only wet and can put up an umbrella :D

Terrible day here. Wind out of the north at 300k, snowing, freezing rain, squalls off the lake causing white outs ... up to my a** in Polar Bears, Moose browsing on my trees, lawn covered in Moose sh**!!!!!

Just looked at the 7 day forecast: boring, sunny, clear, low humidity, highs in the low 20s, a little cooler by the lake, down to a nice cool 6 or 7 at night. I don't think I can take much more of this.

No doubt he is looking forward to it. Belleville is only about 70k west of Kingston. In winter the main Ontario hiway, the 401, is deadly. Particularly from Belleville east to Gananoque. But all that crap is behind us for a while .... now we bask, ahhh. I have to admit tho, I do like having four seasons, I wouldn't miss the beautifull fall weather with the scarlet maple leaves for anything. It's like the Blackpool illuminations without the electric bill.:D

The temp actually climbed to 90 F yesterday. Fine if ya at the beach or pool but not while doing all kinds of manual "stuff!" And the weather better warm up as I don't want to have to pack long-johns and sweater for me trip!

Oh yeah, speaking of how it was too hot: Got a bit dehydrated while climbing a tree. Needed some heavy pruning to get more light to the little pond I've got. While about 25 feet up, smashed me head with the pruning shears, which opened a pretty nice gash over my eye! So, there I was dizzy, dehy., bleeding quite nicely, and way up in the tree.

Of course, as a good solid Englishman, got me senses back, kept the blood out of me eyes, and continued up another 10 feet to finish the job. Of course Cindy comes home just as I'm reaching the peak. Spent the next 10 minutes getting down from the tree while being lovingly lamblasted by my darling wife!

I guess this could have gone in the Life in Culpeper thread eh? Alright then . . . move along!

I finally cut the grass in the back garden this afternoon and them clouds seemed to get darker and darker but it didnt rain. Did get warmer as the afternoon went on. Hope its not raining tomorrow - got to finish the garden off and get my washing dry that i couldnt stick out today.

we are all elec here,we have those stupid storage heaters that cost the earth to run,and the heat runs out before it gets dark and you cant turn the things on again its all automatically done at night,whoever invented the storage heaters needs to be sacked
