At last I might get chance to use my aircon machine.
It has seen only 2 days use in May last year.
They were like gold dust when we had that heatwave in 2006, so I got one the following winter in the sales.
When all your living space is directly under a roof that gets sun, the temperature soon soars to unbearable levels.
Stone built terraced houses I've lived in didn't have that problem.

Weird weather in Canada! Here in the east we are basking in 20+ temps while the west has winter again ... in Calgary a couple of days ago they had snow and temps went down to -22 with the windchill! Crazy.

Still gorgeous here ... one of my tulips is starting to bloom ... but if the long range forcast holds we are in for a major cooling ... down to 5c by early next week ... soon be time to take a trip to Ottawa to see the thousands of tulips in the city ... donated by the Dutch who, bless their hearts, never have forgotten that it was the Canadian Army who booted the nazis out of Holland.

Just watched the weather forecast - seems that seeing as its bank holiday weekend we get all the rain on saturday and sunday - supposedly fine on monday. This is according to the bbc....

I'm 40 miles away from Accrington and we've had warm sunshine here today, just one sharp shower about 1 o clock. I was in the garden for about 5 hours, digging out dandelions and doing a lot of tidying in the "rubbish corner" under the apple tree (empty plant pots etc.) and I was wearing shorts and a tee shirt. Of course my lower back is now so stiff I can hardly move but at least my legs are getting some colour even if they won't work. :D

Warm weather has finally returned here. Got to around 82 F and the yard and garden (vegetable) are growing really well. Battling asparagus beetles and tent catapillars. One of the hen's 6 chicks have hatch and she's been taking around the yard for a very cute walk. Plus new baby turtles have shown up in our little pond.

Warm, cloudy, still and sultry- even though temp is only 17C it is sweaty weather.

Britain is heading for a cooler, wetter, spell after enjoying temperatures higher than the Mediterranean resorts at the start of the week.

There'll be more cloud and the rain will start to appear by Friday.........typical!!

Last year it was hot in april and May was a washout...

We did have a mini heatwave the 1st week in May last year - I can tell by the fact that my weekly gas consumption record slumped to low which was not reached again until mid June

We're finally getting some nice sunny, warm weather. This after severe weather did alot of damage here in Virginia. Not sure what's been worst; all the heavy rains and flooding or the wicked winds and many tornadoes.

Glad to have a reprieve.

Was in Darwen all day today, hardly stopped raining at all, but came down in buckets at times too, and before some smarty pants says 'its ok for you, inside where its warm' if I am fixing or fitting a new boiler, then it aint warm, and especially when the boiler is in a garage. Forecast is on now, heavy rain till midnight, fine start tomorrow with showers in the afternoon... allegedly.

Weather in the Costa Blaca....forecast tomorrow....30 Degrees.
Very light breeze coming in from the Med.

Been a strange spring over here ... in April, we had May weather, in May, April weather. June has been a bit unsettled; lots of storms, and a couple of tornado warnings for areas a little north and west of here. Finally the lake is warm enough for swimming.
