I can't understand why there are no Traffic Wardens, or whatever they are called now, in Accrington. There is illegal parking everywhere (on pavements, single & double yellow lines), yet car parks are free, cars for sale at the side of the road, which creates a hazard as well as being illegal.
Hyndburn revenues would be greatly increased and without penalising the general public, only the inconsiderate law breaking prats.

If you look carefully you will see many of the yellow lines are not enforceable. The cars causing an obstruction should be easy enough for the Police to deal with, they just don't bother.

The car parks may be free, but a lot of people are just to boneidle to walk anywhere these days.
The police should make it known ( paper adds etc) that from a certain date any vehicle ilegally parked or causing an obstruction will be carted off. Make it a nice round £100 to get it back.
They would soon get the idea.
There is no excuses. Something needs doing and sooner rather than later.
There thats me soap boxing done.:mad::mad:

Oh i mean all the roads. Double yellows mean no parking, not no parking except. Don't think it would cost a lot to implement and would soon start paying for itself. :D:D:D

With you now. The add would be perfectly clear, no exceptions. I would even volunteer to drive around and spot them. Reckon if i were a traffic cop or traffic warden, there would be a contract out on me. Lol. :D:D:D

Actually Cashy, i think i would be being far to nice giving out warnings in the paper. At the end of the day illegal parking is illegal.
Half the pratts nowadays can't even drive sensibly. It's not rocket science. :D:D

Take a look at most of the yellow lines Alan they have faded or are broken through road works etc, which simply means they're useless
