Can never understand award systems, how just towards the end of January 2011, can someone decide Accrington is the best indoor Market of the year 2011?

Some would wonder, is this the result of a bribe paid by pretending our Councillors go through £80 worth of butties a week?

How much does HBC pay to be a member of NABMA? And what exactly does this Quango do, other than award themselves meaningless prizes? Does the Leader of HBC get a medal for having the best indoor market?

A friend told me that Peter Britcliffe had been on Radio Lancashire today speaking about an award for the market , and saying how fantastically successful the renovated market has been .

I was sure he had been hearing things . Thanks for the link which confirms my friend was right .

I hope you appreciate living in modern Britain.

In times past, such blindly servile, obsequious apologists, were very often tarred and feathered.

Perhaps he'll pop on and tell us.

If not, we'll have to try and make out what the fey but faithful little barks mean, from one of the poodles.

What a terrible state of affairs.

Having friends, one can't trust a thing they're saying.

I'd ditch 'em.

I just don't get it. The vast majority of people don't have a good word to say about it so how is it a resounding success. What are we not seeing or being told :confused::confused::confused::confused: :confused:
