The on-line voting for Britain’s Favourite Market is held on the Nabma website www.nabma.com and usually commences at the beginning of December.
Regards,
So we can all look forward to voting next December, No, maybe not, after all, we have the May elections to get through first, Hyndburn might not be a member of nabma by then.

If they did, and ensured that sufficient votes were cast to make Accrington the Best Indoor Market Hall in the UK, then good luck to them. Those were the rules set by BRMBA (or whatever they are called) so they can't complain if someone bends the rules to their own advantage.

If that is what happened (allegedly), it reminds me a bit of Pakistani cricketers bowling no balls on the third ball of the seventeenth over!

Allegedly.

'If' this was the case, I wouldn't be wishing them good luck, like you.

I'd label it an utter waste of time.

It makes the award worthless.

I certainly wouldn't be bragging about it, soliciting for compliments, about a now meaningless trinket.

One that can be worn on public occasions with other meaningless trinkets?

In your eyes, maybe, and in the eyes of us right thinking people. But there must be some poor deluded souls who were impressed by the award, and will cast their vote accordingly in May for those who brought the meaningless trink..., I mean the Prestigious Trophy, to Accrington.

So in that sense, it has scored a success.

I've no idea, never having been vain glorious myself.

I've always had enough self-confidence that meant I never felt the need to decorate myself with medals I'd awarded myself.

I always though Idi Amin, Gadaffi etc. looked a bit pathetic.

;)

Yes, there are always a few deluded suckers.

You only have to read the Emperor's New Clothes, to realise that.

Sadly it was a bare faced lie, but you are better than the Emporer, you can cope with the naked truth.

I had to work today to finish an order. This of course meant for a call of nature I had to use the facilites 100 yards away

There is no way in this world you can convince me that there is any justification opening the Market Hall on a Sunday. The heating was on full blast ( it was usually programmed to go off Saturday night until Monday morning ), and there were 2 members of the public in there using the cafe. This was at 12.30pm, peak time for lunch.

Does anyone know of any other Market Hall open on a Sunday ?

There is this one:-

Notice the similarity? More traders than customers.
