We used to have quite a few public toilets in Rishton although the hideous expense of running them coupled with, shall we say, soliciting got them closed down one by one. The pay-per-use TARDIS models that are up and down the county seem to pay for themselves, I can't see the problem with those to be honest. Expensive, but we're here to provide a service and the complaints we get from the older residents who perhaps can't hold on as well as they used to is increasing. |

In Manchester's 'village', some wag was always Tipexing over one particular letter on the street sign in Canal Street, to alter the name, and it's now a tourist attraction. Perhaps you could similarly change Peel to Pee Street? Let's face it. With all these bursting bladders, that's what it's likely to become. PEEL STREET (A photo would look good on the Facebook page.) |

Re: Hyndburn's New Tourist Attraction
Forget Rivers of Blood.
Peel street will soon be awash with 'can't hold it any longer' piddle. We might get tourists coming to Accrington, to take cruises up the Yellow River. |
