It probably costs more than 10k a year to open the Market Hall on Sundays

'The other toilets are only a hundred yards away.'

Ignoring the fact that we live in a metric world, I'll eat my Easter bonnet if it's 'only a hunderd yards'.

Go along Peel Street.

Cross the outdoor market.

Go through doors of Market Hall.

Cross the wide open space of the hall, where once there were stalls.

Mount the stairs.

Walk through the empty tables of Britcliffe's coffee and bun shop.

Arrive at toilets.

Thankfully enjoy the relief.

We know he was a special needs teacher, and from his previous posts on here, we know accuracy with figures isn't his strong point, but if he expects us to believe it's 'only 100 yards' he must think we're all sat on the special bus, licking the windows.

At my age, I'm afraid the relief might well be before I've crossed the outdoor market. :(:(:(

As a rough guide the distance from the toilets to the fag kiosk is approx 33 yards. I don't think 100 yards would actually get you in to the Market Hall

Is there any decency in a council or it's leader that claims to be saving 10k by inconveniencing traders, bus drivers and shoppers when they spend almost half that amount per year on free butties for themselves?
Cut down on your own luxuries before you remove ordinary folk the pleasure of spending a penny.

A bit like Marie Antoinette, but P.B. would have us on a diet of urinal cake.

The arrogance of the man is beyond belief.

There is a lift.

A tiny lift.

That handily takes you up to the cafe, and bladder relief.

Either way, it's still over 100 yards.

actually you won't have tp mount the stairs but if you're on your own then I'm pretty sure you would have to go the long way round to the disabled toilets. The automatic doors are at the Blackburn Rd end :D

Perhaps it's hard to judge.

Depending on where you're sat.

I'm suprised the distance wasn't given in chains, or cubits.
