Another group of photos from the International market in Cremona - great range of produce on offer - lots of colour and some lovely smells too!

The colours are very striking.

I have not posted for a while, I have been too busy machining and fitting the metal parts to the model twin cylinder mill engine I am building, so I thought I had better catch up with a few quick snaps.
First five taken from my car on the way to pick up a mate at Clayton Hall.

The others were taken in my garden,, many thanks to my wonderful gardener, Kate Brownlow.

I have no idea what the flowers are but they look pretty.

Daffodil, I think Magnolia, Primrose, Hyacinth, and finally Skimmia.

You could give us photographic updates of the construction of the engine that way you would still be in the loop, and we get to see the ongoing project.

Glad you have joined us, as Dianne says it will become addictive, and the urge to post will drive you to take more photos. It will also give you ideas of places to visit.

Today in Pictures, Lurking in the hidden corners of Memorial Park.......my case comes up next week. It had rained before I got here, well hailstones if I am being honest, and they were mowing the grass on the playing field opposite. So I started my ramblings with the smell of just cut grass, and moist earth which gave off a smell of things growing rapidly, its funny how these smells lift the spirit.

1. War memorial to the right, shelter at the top, copper beech on the sides.
2. It looks very formal from this angle.
3. Boundary fence looking toward Pendle.
4. There is a strong smell of kebabs, with garlic sauce.
5. From here you could be in the middle of the woods.
6. Martholme Viaduct, with Read in the distance, and some baasheep under foot.
7. The showers are never far away.
8. This was the only pink one I could find, although I did find a mucky knee.
9. A moist Rhododendron.
10. An Azalea giving its all, and out of the way from people in the park

To cheer me up husband took me out into town yesterday evening where an International market was on through the streets -very colourful -lots of pics taken but they'll be for later as they'll take some sorting.
This aft I went for a short walk after a barbecue with friends and took a few pics which are more variations on the theme of Green! Lots of lovely grasses around at the moment and the winter wheat is ripening -the rapeseed field has passed flowering and there are lots of fluffy poplar seeds in the air -drifts of them make it look like it's been snowing!

Number 3 could be a painting :)

Went for a little drive yesterday to find Cedar Spring Falls. It had just rained, but it was warm with lots of bugs in the air. They weren't biting yet (I think they were black flies) thank goodness, or I wouldn't have been there for long!
They road was closed off due to downed trees from last winter's ice storm, so I parked the car and walked, scampered and slid. I was hoping to find some woodland flowers: Trilliums. But not yet - too soon for around here, I guess. Yes, I am using hubbie's Canon Rebel at last, just on automatic setting for now.

Today in Pictures, More like a 30 minute challenge today, no time for much mooching so one circuit of the graveyard.

1. I believe snapping these makes you wet the bed.
2. That started a chain reaction.
3. London Pride to give it its common name, or my favourite Prattling Parnell.
4. Is it something I said !
5. Pendle has a dominance in the area.
6. Here as well.
7. Plantain (minor).
8. Mayflower.
9. A Bluebell trying to survive in a regularly mown grass area, the leaves grow closer to the ground and the flowers are shorter.

Lovely shots from one of my favourite parks. It's been many years since I was there (50? Yikes!!!!). There was actually an enclosure filled with budgies back then, unless my memory fails me. Gorgeous views, and the closups of the flowers are wonderful! Thanks davemac :)
