Only 4 for today. Nos 1 and 2 are the brook at the back of Accy College field, the banks are eroding very fast. I wonder how much longer the footpath will be there before that has gone.
Nos 3 and 4 are taken from the track below Higher Brox Farm going down to the back of Broad Oak.

Today was a bit of a write off...well, that is until after tea...but by then I had only time for a walk along the canal bank.

1) Yellow Iris growing at the very edge of the canal.
2) Moon - Zoomed.
3) Albion Hostelry...reflected in the canal.
4) Elderflowers(I think)
5) view from Canal bank up by Pilkington Bridge
6) I took this shot from exactly the same place with 60 times zoom(elbows resting on wall)
7) Sun coming through the trees(I really like this picture - not sure why)
8) The Layla Boa out of Riley Green.
9) enjoying the evenings cruise along the canal...no beer was involved.
10) Moon unzoomed...you can see it if you look carefully.

They have when I can find a wall to rest my elbows on.
Though I think I did pretty well with the moon shot......I hadn't anything to rest on for that shot

Don't know about your camera but my bridge camera is very light and hard to hold steady. My DSLR is heavier and better to hod steady.

The new camera weighs just over 1lb it isn't really very heavy....and I have found that if I support the extended lens with my free hand it does help to,stabilise the camera.
OIS is fine at lower zoom levels...but at the high zoom levels you really need to have the camera on a tripod/monopod to keep it steady.

Today in Pictures, later than normal and the clock is ticking for today's allowance, so without too many words a very wet outing up the Coppice.

Some lovely droplets there davemac! The monochromes work really well, and number 10 is a stunner!

Thanks, it was raining for most of my walk yesterday, as soon as I got home the sun came out, the sky was blue in most places as Mrs P. found, and the temperature improved. However later in the evening Restless captured the storm that followed, so very much a mixed bag of weather.

I only went out because the sun was out...and the sky was most definitely blue.
I prefer to view thunder and lightning from inside my home.......I am not exactly scared of it...but I don't like it very much.
I leave the 'wet' to you Dave...I know you are very good at 'wet'.

It was with deep regret yesterday I watched as a fine fellow willingly celebrated the loss of his carefree lifestyle!!! I suppose the free flowing Ale helped soften the blow though! :s_aim1: So with posh frock & bonnet we made the most of the reception.

Theoretically some of these pics are actually from today ...... from about silly'O'Clock oh dark thirty! ;)

Bad Iburg "Red Lion" (English) Pub
- Out the back, the Pipers piping a song of lament - A scene of solace & refuge (Plus Marion scrubbed up nice) :D - Further confirmation as she natters away to friends - The Happy couple, Jessie & Trev - After all that passion, outside into the fresh air - Stu "Mein Host" Landlord, owner & all round nice guy with his Daughter - Isn't Ale marvellous stuff? Present some folk with a camera & there's no shame! :) Trev & Hayley - Now there's 'Andsome innit?

I have been told that I am outstanding in the wet, that's why I get a moist gusset, as I am standing out in it.
