I'v just been and looked at the reviews, good megapixel rate and 10x zoom, so we are expecting wasps elbows and landscape shots. nice looking camera.

I like the look of this camera Frank, hurry up and post some more pics so that I can have a think about it when I see more of what it can do. Always had Olympus in the past before I had my present tatty old Fuji - my other half's cast off!

Took these yesterday on a stroll round the house - was the time of day when only mad dogs are around -came home looking like a beetroot!

Here are a selection of flowers, bugs and veggies! If ony I'd managed to center the really clear shot of the Mantis...may go and see if I can see him again -he lives on the tree outside my house and is very friendly!) The psychedelic photo shows what happens when a bee buzzes too close to me!(Just as well you can't hear the shreik!):D

Thanks - haven't got any this year... they usually self seed. Wouldn't mind some of those peaches too... amazed to see those considering the cold winters you get. And the watermelon - okra - chilli -aubergine - all growing outside quite happily! Though I guess your soil is good, being in the Po valley.

The close ups wer taken with my new camera . I don't normally like a camera without a viewfinder as I find they are hard to see in the sunlight. The other pics are taken with my Sony DSLR camera . I cant do close ups with my Sony camera unless I buy a macro lens which are dear.

That's interesting, Frank. One of the reasons I am reluctant to upgrade my tatty 3x zoom Fuji compact is that I have always used an optical viewfinder but it seems that they are almost non-existent on modern compacts. Mrs P and I have been discussing this between ourselves for a while. Seems if I want a new camera with more zoom I am going to have to bite the bullet and move to using a screen.

Must say I like the look of your new little toy having been reading around it today.
