When I stop to take pictures, especially on my knees shots he just sits down and waits, a sitting target so to speak.

I think you're right Dave, most people walk round oblivious to what's above eye-level - you also never really appreciate what you see on a daily basis either. The courtyard has a walkway like that around every side and they are full of frescoes, commemorative plaques, statues and other features which have been applied over the years. The Town Hall is built around this courtyard and it was completed in 1206 so plenty of time for things to have been added. The cathedral across the square was completed 99 yrs earlier in 1107!!!
Unfortunately some additions are not wanted -like the grafitti you can see in this link...Imbrattati i muri del Comune in Cortile Federico II - Cremona Oggi - Libero 24x7
The man in the photo was caught on the cctv cameras...
This is a good photo showing what the courtyard is like - through the arches you can see the white marble face of the cathedral across the square. Risultato della ricerca immagini di Google per http://www.giuseppenicoloro.com/word...6/NIK_0293.jpg

wonderfull cobbles arches and vistas through the building, why would they write all over it, that bloke looks old enough to know better.

5. A large drop in height.
6. Time to find the high ground.
7. Found it.
8. Wild garlic, if you look at the snap you will see where bob ran through it, he came out smelling like a Chicken Kiev, so he was going for an early bath.
9. The bridge is the path to Gt. Harwood.
10. And so back to the car, whats that smell.

Looking at Dave's excellent pictures made me think of taking a few flora and fauna in my garden.
Honestly I don't know a flower from a weed and June and her gardener planned it all.
June wanted a little rough corner so the hedgehogs and other wild beasties could have a nice haven and she also wanted a little rockery.
I am determined to keep it nice in June's memory and with the help of Kate the gardener I will do.

It really is a nice tribute to your wife -what a lovely big garden. The photo of the tulips and the fuschia buds are lovely close-ups. Even though I don't like insects -the photo of the fly is very clever.

Thanks Dianne, Just over two years ago when the bungalow was built the "garden" was just builders rubble with a bit of turf thrown on it.
June and Kate worked wonders with it.

Your post brought tears to my eyes, Russell. I see you managed to sneak a guide dog in there as well!
