Re: weather??
Just spent 11 days in Turkey, were the temperture hit 53, think lowest was around 40. Usually go at the end of July and have known it as hot as it was this year. Not complaining though.

I have been asked why i have not mentioned the weather here recently, mainly because it is still very warm, verging on hot. The winter is very slowly creeping in. The temperature at this time is 76f/16c. I am now off out in a sleeveless top and shorts. :hothothot:hothothot:hothothot :D

SF/Bay Area weather is crazy , last two days in flannel and fleece during daytime , today back to shorts and a tee shirt, we have had rain in both September and October which screwed up the Napa Valley grape harvest , rain not usually seen until at least Thanksgiving (late November)

Thought I'd resurrect this page ... we haven't talked about the weather in a long time. Maybe it's because your weather has been as stimulating as a sermon on the commutation of tithes. As you can see, weather can be fun;) And I think I'll open a Bomber and sit on my deck, and enjoy the show. |

You have 271 separate forcasts(added up in a moment of boredom)-is Canada BIG? Or VERY BIG? |

Been up and out early on a Sunday morning - the bells are ringing for mass in the village and the sky is blue, looks set for a beautiful autumn day. You can see the Alps this morning, capped in white, we've had the first snow of the year!

Lovely here again today -blue skies and warm sunshine (23°C) in the afternoon -went for a round trip of 8 km on my bike -part of a "keep healthy" campaign. Lots of Moorhen on the canal and the leaves are just starting to turn -i love Autumn.
Wouldn't mind a wet windy walk along the Leeds-Liverpool canal though....very invigorating! Only downside of the day -a visit to the dentists.....:( Plus my laptop keeps blue-screening! |

I have my mobile aircon machine running for the last two days.
It is bulky to store for most of the year, but a blessing at times like this. I get heat from the shallow roof space so every room get too hot for comfort. |

Re: weather??
Must be quite a sight to see the migration of the geese. Here in Italy the weather is great -28°C in the afternoon but there's an autumny feel with leaves falling. Went along the canal today on my bike -great place for freeing the mind and thinking. There are lots of Moorhen this year as well as the usual ducks. Kept my eyes open as I have seen a Kingfisher there once last year -amazing, he wasn't around today though. Have only ever seen one before over 30 yrs ago while out walking with my dad along the Ribble down near Whalley Nab...

I have a good view of two mature trees from my lounge window - a scandinavian maple and a sycamore.
For the nine years I have lived here, the sycamore has always dropped its leaves before the maple. This year the maple is changing colour first - strange:confused: |

9.20pm -It is supposed to be 14C outside right now(per BBC), and it hasn't been particularly sunny today, yet my wall thermometer is at 28C, and I have got my aircon machine on again trying to get the temp down to 24C.
I find this very unexplainable. The man in the flat below me is not home, and has been out since midday, so he can't be using his heating. |
