Yes,I noticed the slug too.I thought to myself, they must have a good immune system as that mushroom is well known for its hallucinogenic toxins.
I've had a look myself when I've been out in woodlands etc and still to this day haven't seen one,yet dave seems to find them on a regular basis (I'm not bitter though). :D

It helps if you have a fungi detector set to about 6 mycelium on the sensitivity scale. However once you find some fungi you sort of "get your eye in" and they start to jump out at you from all sorts of places.

I can usually find shrooms etc without a problem it's just, that particular one just seems too elusive.

I see that like here, most leaves are down now. There are still some lovely russet brown colours to be seen, and number 10 shows this beautifully :)
Cheeky slugs - they do like their mushies!

Well, the hols are over & we're back in Germingland & I'm still playing catch up.

So from Cov to Chesterfield & its famous twisted spire church & aged buildings x3 - Then back into the Charabanc & across to Gods waiting room (Cleveleys) x2 - Finally down to Blackpool for the lights. All in all an average touristy day! :)

That we have Frank, as we got on the ferry last night in UK I checked the readings from the speedo. From leaving Germany up to getting on the ferry last night it was around 3,370 km, so aye we've done some distance. :)

Still, it was worth it mind!

Following the Touristy trail, on Wednesday (our last full day at home) we wandered our way to Preston & from there to Lytham st.Annes (another contender for Gods waiting room! ;))

Architectural Preston x2
- A rather scary Duck (one of many at sites around the North West) - Some Mad Woman down Preston Docks (She couldn't find any Cats to feed so settled for feathered beasts instead) - Preston Dock (Without the Mad Woman) - Lythams most recognizable features, the Windmill & Old Lifeboat station shown together, then singly - New Lifeboat Station.
