Re: James Beattie - Do the Honourable Thing

No need for anyone to apologise as nothing has been proven one way or the other.

People are forgetting, James Beattie is operating on our highest wage bill since returning to the league.
The club is getting itself in more debt to support Beattie.

We are 22nd in the league on equal points with the team in 23rd.

If we lose our next game and drop to the bottom of the league, will I be on here shouting the manager down?
No, because nothing much would have changed.

James Beattie has proven nothing yet and in all honesty none of the claims I and others have made have been proven.
Averageing less than a point a game is not success and nor should it be applauded.

After 10 league games Mr.Beattie was rightfully criticised. After 20 the situation will be rejudged.
One thing is for certain, we are in a far better place in the table than we where after 10 games.

The jury is still out.

I don't think people are forgetting at all. People never knew.

Where precisely did you get this nugget from?

Well said Dav. JB has done fantastic in the last 7/8 games and no one can deny that but i think we are all forgetting its the 18th November and not the 3rd May. We have done fantastic just to get back into a fight of staying up now we have to keep improving, keep picking up points and hopefully and even Dav wouldnt mind this, that we will all be proved wrong about JB.
Also is it really needed to keep reminding Dav about this as its his own opinion and for me its still to be proven wrong.

Re: James Beattie - Do the Honourable Thing

No one needs to remind Davo about his opinions, he does that often enough himself.
But this web site would be less enjoyable without his inputs.

Re: James Beattie - Do the Honourable Thing

Then that's good news to my ears if it comes from the guy who's actually stumping up the money, surely.
However, I think we all know that your response, Davo, will be something along the lines of how The Merseyside Messiah would have had Stanley playing in Europe with that sort of money.
Maybe, maybe not.
But just let's be a tad happy, and grateful that Peter Marsden is putting his money where our hearts and hopes are.

And other topics as well ??....

On Shakespeare…
“Wasn’t Buttons in Midsummers Nights Dream?”
On Divorce…
“How can she be a single mother and a Mrs?”
On sexuality…
“If he’s 22 and single he must be gay”
Investigating the police…
“What’s Sergeant Hopwood’s first name…And what’s his rank?”
On prison…
“Is a jailbird someone who’s escaped?”
On self sacrifice…
“Why don’t you give blood, Merv?”
“It hurts.”
On health reporting…
“So you’re saying that one of the symptoms is stiffness?..oh sorry deafness”
Interviewing the organiser of a wine and cheese evening…
“And will there be refreshments?”

Always good for a laugh Exile..... if little else !... ( Particularly their apparent disregard and apathy towards anything 'Stanley' !)

Not a bad day today for Naisy. Beginning to like Beattie and his decisions more and more.

Actually falling a tiny bit in love with him

As one of those "gutless gits" you talk about, I take much offence with this! May I suggest you read post '127' by myself, recanting my original agreement with DAV007 and my own post by humbly apologising for my
original post. Not often I would disagree with you Cashy, but on this one, I must.
