Nowt to do wi me,but don't be too sure of that, i used to do a music quiz in a boozer i was doing early 90s i think it was, there was a guy i knew very well, was very clued up on music, went the loo one night,when i'd just asked a question n passed him on the way, he had just downloaded the answer on his mobile,:eek: n that was just a bit of fun, fer T-Shirts n the like,which the landlord had given me. so never be sure,it certainly learnt me.;)

Know what you mean Cashy - but to be honest for me it's a bit of fun. I don't have much chance of ever winning as I'm to slow at reading the questions because of my poor eyesight...

It's just another nice meeting place and something to converse over with a few friends...

In the end if you cheat -the ony person you really harm is yourself.

This quiz is timed Cashy.

Thankfully there's no way to cheat.

There was at first, when some people joined with two user names, played once slowly, getting all the answers, then played again, whizzing through in record time.

That's why it was changed, and we now all play the same subject, but have different sets of questions.

Hopefully that'll change soon, now your name there has to be recognisable as your AW name.

Have been wondering the same thing. Think it's probably better to go a bit slower but I can't seem to do that. And some of the questions do take a bit of reading!

Two questions on modern movies today, not my strong point. But G your time and score were both excellent.

7 today -not bad, discovered my new mouse has a little wheel thingy which you can scroll up and down with, so i may get faster when I'm used to it. But then again perhaps not -too much much to co-ordinate -hand, eye and brain all at once....

I'm sure Mancie will be back with a vengeance tomorrow. Must admit Geography is not my subject. You did well though, it'll be interesting if/when we all get on the same questions and have a full month to compete over - I didn't find out about the quiz till a couple of days into November, at present I'm just going off the points average to see how well I'm doing, but some of our fellow contestants take some beating!

Noticed your points average is quite impressive. You could be up at the top if you'd have played all month. December should be interesting - I only joined on the 3rd Nov.

I got a question today that I am still blinking at, or rather a non-question. Will share it with you tomorrow, it's so crass in my opinion. Sorry to sound so pompous, but there's trivia and there's utter cr*p.

As for yesterday's teaser that floored me it went something like this:

There was the usual preamble about somethiing I'd never heard of and then it said - how many cars make a full field? The answer was 22 and I haven't a clue what it's about.

We used to have a Virginian family play the quiz.

Very clever, but the rest of us did think they had rather an unfair advantage of the rest of us.

They pop up occasionally. Not that regularly.

Very often you can work out the stupid logic, these people must have, if you can be bothered to re-read it.

The host site's based in the U.S., and a lot of the submitted quizes the questions are taken from, are sent in by Americans.

A lot, not all, plenty are submitted from the U.K.

I've got quizes I made on there, somewhere.

Just checked -if no-one else plays that makes 2 days on the run....

Must keep extracting the woad ready to paint up for the new challenge next month -am feeling pretty agressive - getting all weapons ready for a full on offensive...

Oh, I don't mind doing difficult things:D........I like a challenge in my day.

I just don't like sites where I have to register....I avoid them where I can.
A lot of these sites generate spam, and I seem to have got my spam down to an acceptable(if there ever was such a thing) level..........and it means remembering yet another blooming password.
Anyway, I am no good at American questions...better at general knowledge.
Reckon I'd be pants at it.
