Re: The Tories

Sometimes tories get things right ... not often, it is true, but sometimes. Our Feds are refusing to go along with the Iran deal, which is nothing more than an opportunity for the Obama administration to look good, and to avoid a conflict they know they can't win. The major European powers lined up to kiss US ass on this one; but the government of Canada is standing by its ally, Israel, in demanding that more than comforting words come from Tehran. Essentially, the Iranians are offering promises to be good in return for real concessions (anything measured in billions of dollars is real) from the West.

Of course, commentators in the West are critical of Israel's hard line stance, conveniently forgetting that as recently as a few months ago Iran's foreign policy was centered on wiping Israel off the face of the earth.

However, it will be a cold day in hell before I ever vote tory.

The Tories

They're all "one and the same" . . just playing games with all of us . . I'm sorry to say. All the world's a stage., as was earlier written, and no stage ( or actor ) greater than exhibited in our Houses of Commons and Lords. Good to know!

In 2002, at a reception in Hampshire, Margaret Thatcher was asked what she considered her greatest achievement. She replied: “Tony Blair and New Labour. We forced our opponents to change their minds.”

Re: The Tories

what the tories are doing with the fire service now is nothing short of a crime. there is at least 5 hundred firefighters getting their books 100 hundred fire stations closing , they are treating firefighters with contempt by changing the goalposts in pensions pay and conditions. which will eventually lead to unnecessary deaths . tories hang your head in shame. plus the news blackout just shows how much this government influences the main news outlets in this country.

Re: The Tories

I wish the Mods would set up a separate forum for the resident DS to continue with his ridiculous C & P diatribes, then we could all ignore him not having him intrude into relevant and (sometime), intelligent threads.
