I'm sure you're right. Dyche and Burnley were a great fit - all same Coley and Stanley. We might find ourselves playing league matches against the Clarets before the Rovers now

No idea about the heart and soul of the club.

I think this exemplifies the problems of foreign owners and I fear that this will come back to haunt Burnley unfortunately

Apropos a discussion somewhere on here recently about time wasting and other ‘tactics’, there’s an interesting analysis here that suggests, in an average PL game, the ball is not ‘in play’ for over 30 minutes!
So I guess a third of those exorbitant ticket prices are spent on watching nothing.
It may be even worse in the lower leagues.

Joe Hardy on the bench again tonight for Inverness watch live on BBC Scotland available on BBC iPlayer got about 18 minutes last game looks like he's fit and over his injuries looks like he has quite a good touch and puts himself in the right position,s for a striker hope he comes back to Stanley with a positive attitude and a decent pre season and maybe we might just have a player. Anyway about to start at 7, o'clock hope he gets some minutes.

New EFL Rules regarding Substitutions for the coming season.

Clubs will be allowed to name up to seven substitutes and make five substitutions in Sky Bet Championship, League One and League Two matches from the 2022-23 season.

For League matches during the 2021/22 season, Clubs were able to field three substitutes from seven nominated, which has now increased following Friday's Annual General Meeting (AGM) when EFL Clubs approved a number of regulation changes that will come into effect immediately.

Each Club is only permitted a maximum of three opportunities to make substitutions during the fixture, plus an opportunity at half-time, and a Club may make more than the one substitution at each of these opportunities.

I thought, in his interview after the game, Professor Coleman’s summation of the team’s ‘performance’ last night was spot on.
A neutral would have been totally confused to have been told which team was, currently, the bottom of League 2.
Thought Rochdale’s little demon, Odoh, was clearly man of the match.
Also very fitting that Stanley salvaged the game at the death with a goal that no-one seemed to score.

Agree, Lowe is a real battler and, it seems, with the refs we get, has to be every game he plays in. His cross for the first goal was excellent - I didn’t think he was going to get it across but it was inch perfect - and he was there, as a good striker should be, for the second. But Adedoyin offers something different and I hope they can both contribute this season.

No idea who the younger guy was but John Doolan was on the touchline last night second half. I much prefer Jimmy on the touchline throughout the game. Jimmy is much more vocal, seems to give clear direction to the players and has a bit of bite and passion when when its needed.

Something odd. Can anyone explain?
At yesterday’s defeat to Wycombe, according to the BBC, Bolton made six substitutions.
I can find no reference as to why, other than a report on the Trotters’ web site that states that Bolton’s final substitute came on after a concussion to “the hosts”.
I can only presume that should have read “the visitors”.
So, my query is why, if you can make a sixth sub after a concussion, did Stanley not bring someone on after Tharme was stretchered off against Lincoln? Did we simply not have a sixth sub that day?

Yes we had a 6th sub available but suspect in the chaios of the day and the scoreline in the 90th minute we choose not to use that option. IF you use a concussion sub the opposition can also make an additional sub. If you use a cooncussion sub there is a lot of additional external protocols to follow on the medical side of things.
As we didn't use the option Doug's return is in the hands of of medical teams hands. We and Doug choose when he's ready to return

Thank you for the explanation, Mr. T.
Not sure about the logic behind the opposition also being able to make a sub as well as the team whose player gets concussed but, heh, that’s football.

The whole U23 squad played well today.
Two well-matched teams, but Stanley bossed the first half and went in 0-1 up. Blackpool came out and applied more pressure and deservedly got the equaliser. But then Stanley got a penalty, very well converted by Nolan, then got the upper-hand again and bagged two more, with Dan Martin hitting a sweet shot from the edge of the box.
Really enjoyable watch, great team work and effort. I suspect the experience of playing first team football for many of the Stanley team made the difference.
Too many good displays to pick a single MotM.
Well done to the lads and the coaching staff.
Stanley U23s top of the Central League and remain unbeaten!

SNOW WARNING on local weather tonight. Let's hope Stanley get the covers on the pitch tomorrow if not on already........4 inches of snow forecast tomorrow from 3pm onwards.....would be a shame to have Portsmouth at home next Tuesday called off twice due to bad weather......

Mo Sangare cracking goal playing in midfield for his country should have said it's near the end of the vid but it does mention he's an Accrington Stanley player
