Last night's picture taken through my patio windows.
Look closely at the bottom left and in the corner of the fence there is a reflection of my table lampshade.

and a caterpillar I took climbing my wall. I framed it for fun.
Finally a look at Whirlaw hill from Todmorden market.

Its a Puff Ball fungus, when its ripe a hole appears on the top, and when it rains the pressure of each rain drop puffs out spores.
The car went passed our house just as we were reversing off the drive but there are fuzzy bits so you cant tell any one is sat in.

Love them Jen.....I would have loved to be able to take shots of the moon, but it was obscured by buildings and i didn't fancy being out and about in my frilly nightie :)
They would have carted me off to the funny farm, thinking I had slipped my moorings.

I was either stood in the front garden with the camera resting on my brown (garden rubbish) bin or stood in the front doorway taking them pics .. finally went to bed about 6am ... no one around either .. plenty of cars and wagons going past but no one walked past ... which was lucky as I was cursing the camera and it was a wee bit nippy out there at that time ..

More from yesterdays Jaunt.
1) The art Gallery. The steps by the side of the gallery lead into the lovely terrace with the coloured houses.
2) steps from the terrace to the main street...the come out opposite Costa Coffee.
3) Autumn blooms for sale outside the florists......I loved the displays outside that shop.
4) signpost telling you where to go :D.
5) looking down the mainstreet from the path up to the Castle.
6) More butterflies and bees. I don't know what the bush is(Davemac will know) but it was a definite fave with the bees. I don't know what brand the butterflies are either.......I need the help of a lepidopterist...they were quite large butterflies.
7) looking down the mainstreet from the top of the castle.
8) two poppies with visitors. These were at the foot of the statue of the soldier...very fitting.
9) looking out over the roof tops of Clitheroe.
10) A patriotically painted bike.

I hope you like my offerings for today.

1-4: Last weekend was Canadian Thanksgiving, and it came with gloriously perfect weather. It was cool, but sunny and bright to show off the fall colours. We went for a little drive, and I shot a few snaps through the windshield. This weekend it's much colder, with a biting wind and on again off again sleet. Glad we got out and about last week!

5: Miss Pris enjoys 'helping' on laundry day

6: Yesterday: a storm blew in

7: During recent Geocache 'treasure hunt' outings: I liked this tree to photograph even better than I enjoyed putting my hand down inside its trunk to retrieve the cache.

8: Putting my arm down these holes was not my idea of fun. I almost got stuck, and had visions of having to call the fire brigade to get me un-stuck! What's worse, the geocache container, about the size of a peanut butter jar, slipped from my gloved fingers and sank deeper into the crevice, completely unreachable. Sigh!

Not a picture from today, but one I have been 'playing with' today.
This is a section of a bouquet Ma got for her birthday almost a month ago.....the flowers lasted three weeks and were beautiful....this picture is a permanent memory for Mum.
I have printed it out onto a card for her to keep.
A Lilly and a Rose

I bet your Ma will love it M,I would of gone for a splash of colour (perhaps the rose) :)

I tried it, but it was no way near as attractive. The rose in the picture was cream.
I can take colour out, but cannot subtly put it back in the way that looks natural.
I took a glossy shot of the pic up to Ma today......she loved it and wants me to look for a frame for it so that she can put it on her sideboard.

No,that's not to say the thought didn't cross my mind though.
They are toxic if you don't prepare them correctly, the Sherman use to let deer eat them and drink the urine...

...I'll stick with PG tips ;)

I'm really pleased to hear that you didn't eat it........and yes I prefer Tea(leaf for me though) over Pee....even though I have never tried it. It somehow does not appeal to me:)

I was back at the location where the shroom was today and I observed two folk pick it and put it in a Tupperware box,if they don't have a deer,I hope they know how to prepare it.
I've never been a lover of the tea leafs as I can't stand the thought of eating them...

...strange,I know considering I waa contemplating eating a wild shroom :)
