It is off Green Arms Road. Green Arms Road is of the A666 out of Darwen going towards Bolton. About a mile on the left after you pass where Bull Hill Maternity Home was.

That's high praise indeed, and glad we contributors are enjoyed by others, I have said many times that we are surrounded by more countryside than we are aware of, and with very little effort can be surrounded by green fields and majestic trees. I would say to anyone who wishes to recharge his or her batteries then head for the green bits and leave the grey bits behind for a while, and you never know, perhaps the grey bits may not be as grey after all.
If you have a camera, take that as well, something will happen, you will start to see things in a different way, you will start to notice the smallest thing, and the furthest away, with the benefit of being able to share it with others if it is posted on here.

I heartily agree.
Get yourself a large helping of green pleasure, and your health will benefit...you sleep better, you get some perspective on life and you could be delivering a taste of the country to someone (who for whatever reason) would get little chance otherwise to see it.....and when you give a little joy to someone else you always get a little dusting of it yourself.

A mixed bag of pix to catch up with you all. I've been busy tending to my 89 year old Aunty in hospital. On one of our walks to try to get her moving I noticed how beautiful the lobby was, hence a couple of shots. To relax before my drive to the hospital, there was Geocaching to take my mind off things. It takes you to spots you would ordinarily miss as you drive by. Also, a couple of my neglected little garden - at least the green beans are doing well! The flowers are quite interesting. Then I couldn't resist one of Miss Pris, who's grown quite nicely in the past year and LOVES climbing up to high places.

Today I was going to walk around Oak Hill Park...........until I noticed they were having a fun day with jumpy, bouncy, squeaky, things and a bandstand full of bands, so I went to plan B and walked around Haworth Park instead, I still got the noise but not the crowds. The line up of artists was impressive I could hear Michael Buble and Elvis Presley.

Today was down to the river, the weather was a pleasure to be out in and have to say I stayed longer than I had anticipated. I found myself just standing still and absorbing the view, thinking what a pleasure it was to be stood in the typical English countryside and listening to all the animals that live in it, there was a Parliament of Crows having a loud discussion...........then I went and dipped my bum in the water.

Rob, I am envious of your photographic jaunt around the capital.
I have not been to stay in London since I was about 9 years old.
You do not value the sights properly at that age and you certainly don't take much notice of the architecture.
I would love to spend a week down there, on the hoof with my camera and a bit of dry weather.....until then I will have to make do with your lovely pictures to show me just what I have been missing.

Yes, I have fallen asleep on the number 9 quite a few times after a busy night shift.....so it brought back a few memories for me.

I've passed out on the old No.1 from the Black Dog to the Forts many a time.;)

Can't remember too much about it ... I was, er, drunk at the time.:D But sometimes I passed up on the bus and spent my last tanner on chips ... and then I took shanks' pony home.;) Oh for the days when social networking was grabbing a bus to meet your friends at the New Brewery.:theband: Now there's probably a bloody app for that.

I visited coporation park the other day to look at the old Victorian conservatory/greenhouse.
I must say,its a impressive structure but the plants inside could do with a good watering and a bit of TLC.
